Reflection

●     How did you organise the groups?

I did organised the groups in pairs. I think that when using apps is easier to work with a mate rather than bigger groups. Ideas are easy to share. 

●    What was the sequence of tasks that you followed to get to the final product?

Students have been reading a book called "A Foreinger in India" and as final task I asked them to create a comic summurising the main ideas. 

●     What were the specific learning objectives for this activity? How did the use of the tool help the learners achieve these objectives? Please be specific and give concrete examples.

The main learining objectives are: group work; students share ideas: they comment about the book, summurise the main ideas, create the comic. 

Learning to learn with new activities (the online comic): use ITC to create the comic using laptops or mobile phones in the classroom.

Skimming, scanning, summarising ideas to create the comic. 

Writing production while they are orginising their ideas in their notebooks.

●     In what ways (be specific) was creativity and the use of imagination encouraged in your students?

They have always thought that creativity has to be something new, but creativity is also doing something with the different tools we have, in this case, an online activity. Students can create new backgrounds to their idea of the story of the book, create new dialogues and even make up a new end. 

●      What did your students enjoy most / least about this activity?

They enjoyed the most the use of laptops and mobile phones in the classroom. Above all, they enjoyed more than they did not, so they liked a lot. 

●     What would you change next time?

Perhaps it is an activity they can compose at home and not in class.

●      How were the finished projects shared with the rest of the class?

Students have to do a presentation in front of the class.

  • ·         What opportunities were there for students to co-evaluate and discuss the learning experience with each other?
  • The teahcer gave them a punctiation list in which they had to pay attention to the different comics and rate about presentation, dialogues, etc.
